Located in the Mediterranean Region, Antalya is one of Turkey’s most important tourism centers with its 630 km coastline. The center of the city, which is built on two coastal plains, is located on the  plain stretching along the Mediterranean coast. The plain includes the northern part of the city. Antalya is a city where sea, sun, nature and history come together. Each district of Antalya has Turkey’s tourism paradise, İt’s a natural wonder in its own right.

Places to visit

Manavgat, Kemer, Alanya, Belek are the most visited districts of Antalya by domestic and foreign tourists. You should not come to Antalya just for the sea, sand and sun. Antalya, with its approximately 50 ancient cities, is also a historical paradise. It would be a big mistake to leave the city without visiting these ancient cities. Olympos in Kumluca and Aspendos in Serik District are world famous,as the most well-known and most visited ancient cities in the world. Olympos has been the subject of mythology throughout history. Olympos is a natural wonder with  many historical monuments, 3200 m of coastline and vegetation. When you go to Serik, you can also visit the ancient city of Slyon as well as Aspendos.

As a result of the natural structure of the city, 4 seasons can be lived together in Antalya. While swimming in the sea, it is possible to ski at the Saklıkent Ski Center, 50 km away. In short, you can find everything about the sea, nature and history together in Antalya.

Culture and Entertainment

Antalya hosts many festivals as a requirement of its cultural identity. The most important of these is the Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival. This festival is of great importance to Turkish cinema. Aspendos Opera and Ballet Festival,is a special organization that aims to provide cultural services to tourists coming to Antalya. Antalya Piano Festival, Beachpark Rock Festival, Alanya International Culture and Art Festival and Antalya International Short Film/Video Festival are among other important festivals.

Theatre, opera, ballet, orchestra, art galleries, cinema occupy most important places in the social and cultural life of the city. Entertainment life in Antalya is much more diverse and dynamic then entertainment in a tourism city. The heart of entertainment in the city beats that of the beach activities. Such beach activities are, aerobics, beach football, beach volleyball and beach parties with music and they are the main beach activities. In addition, modern hotels and holiday villages, which contain all entertainment opportunities, serve as the locomotives of the city entertainment to tourists from all walks of life.

Eating and drinking

All kinds of vegetables and fruits are grown in the inner parts of the city, especially in people’s home gardens. It is possible to find the best alternatives of both Turkish and world cuisine in hotels, holiday villages and restaurants in Antalya, which is famous for its citrus fruits.

Famous dishes and desserts of Antalya;

Dishes: Kölle (wheat, beans, peanuts and broad beans), roasted meat, tandoori kebab, grant, cive with eggplant, şakşuka, fish with terator, piyaz with tahini, hibeş.

Desserts: Aburcin/Eggplant dessert, bergamot and citrus molasses, arabic kadayıf, pumpkin dessert with tahini, eggplant jam, bergamot jam, citrus jam, watermelon jam.

Shopping

Numerous shops and shopping centers, especially on the coast, are equipped to meet all the needs and requirements of domestic and foreign tourists.

With 80 stores, Deep Outlet Center is the largest shopping center in the Mediterranean Region. The complex, which is built on an area of ​​65,000 m2, is located on the Antalya-Alanya road. Migros Shopping Center is also one of the best important places for shopping in the city.

In addition, traditional hand crafts and souvenir shops offer a variety of alternatives to local and foreign visitors in almost all districts and bazaars.
